To practice the numbers 8 and 9 we formed the numbers with our wiki sticks and play-doh.
Here are the sayings for 8 and 9:
8- Make an S but do not wait, go back up and close the gate. OR make two circles. One on top, one on bottom.
9- A hoop and a line, that's how you make a nine.

Worked on our counting and quantity to numeral by rolling a die and placing the corresponding number of seeds onto a pumpkin.
For some fine motor practice we played with play-doh extruders and cut a jellyfish.
Made patterns with cubes.
Sorted bears and pom poms by their size.
We have been working hard on our names!
Practiced controlling our bodies with some yoga!
Explored pumpkins by looking and feeling inside a pumpkin. We also discussed how pumpkins can all look different and how they grow. We even conducted an experiment to see if a pumpkin and parts of the pumpkin would sink or float. We were amazed that it all floated!!
Next week we will work on the number 10 and have our Fall Festival!
