We worked on the numbers 4 and 5 this week. For the number 4 we formed the number with our Play-Doh and found the number 5 with our paint dabbers.
We also practiced tracing the numbers 1-5.
Here is our sayings for 4 and 5:
4- Down and over, down some more, that's the way to make a four.
5- Down, fat belly, hat on top.
**We always start at the top when making our numbers.

While working on the number 5, we sang the song 5 Little Pumpkins Sitting On a Gate. The student then made their own gate with 5 little pumpkins.
Here is the song on Youtube. Sing along with your preschooler and they can show you the actions!

Worked on our fine motor skills by tracing lines and snipping a lion's mane.
The school nurse came in to practice hand washing with us. We did a little experiment by putting "germs" on our hands and then practiced the proper way to wash all those germs away.
The students used their problem solving and thinking skills to create bridges for bears. They did such an awesome job finding ways to make the bridges with the provided materials!
We have a new area in the classroom, the dramatic play area is now the Wildcats Restaurant! The students are doing a great job taking orders and making food for the costumers!
Next week Ms. Emily will be visiting and we will continue with our numbers.
