Letter M- practiced writing the letter in all different sizes and searched for the letter in the classroom.
Here is the song/action for the letter M:
Since we are working on the letter M this week, the students drew a picture of a monster. After drawing their picture they then created the monster out of pieces of paper! We also all gave our monsters a name.
Worked on our counting and number identification skills with a math board game.
Created puffy hearts with glitter!!
Sorted pictures by their beginning sound.
Took some quiet time to relax and read some books.
Finished up our study on winter animals with polar bears! We measured to see how tall a polar bear can grow. Polar bears can get up to 10 feet tall! It takes about 3 preschoolers to be the same height! We also measured our hands/feet compared to a polar bears paw.
We also learned that polar bears have black skin under all of their fur. The students added "fur" onto their polar bears to help keep them warm!

Had some fun with the parachute!!
Next week we will work on the letter D.
